Design seeps through in the planning and fabric of the city. Bike lanes and traffic flow seem highly coordinated. One is reluctant to jaywalk here not only due to some greater collective desire for order, but also because between 2 or more lanes of bike traffic in opposite directions and 4 lanes of car traffic, there are a lot of vectors at play.
